A trough and front crossing SA and the NT is triggering storms & showers, some intense, while hot and dry winds are drawn ahead of it. Another trough is leading to gusty showers over southwest WA. High pressure is keeping much of the east mostly settled and dry.


Thursday 22:00 EDT

A broad trough with a front and low in the southeast will lead to widespread showers and storms over parts of WA's Kimberley, the NT, southwest QLD, western NSW, VIC, TAS and eastern SA, while drawing heat ahead of it. Onshore winds will bring showers to the southern fringe.


Friday 22:00 EDT

A broad trough will lead to widespread rainfall with scattered storms over the NT, QLD and NSW, while drawing heat into the east. A low with troughs and brisk winds will bring rain to TAS and showers to VIC and southern SA. A high will help settled WA's south and the interior.


Saturday 22:00 EDT

Broad troughs will draw heat and lead to showers and storms over WA's Kimberley, the NT and QLD, with heat being pushed into eastern QLD. Cool S/SE'ly winds will bring showers to parts of TAS, VIC and eastern NSW. A broad high will keep conditions settled over SA.


Sunday 22:00 EDT

Troughs will generate showers and storms over northeast WA, the eastern NT and QLD, while drawing heat over southeastern WA. Onshore winds should cause showers over southeast QLD, northeast NSW and western TAS. A front will bring showers to the southwest corner.

Troughs should lead to widespread showers and storms over parts of WA's east, the NT, SA, western QLD and northwest NSW, while drawing warmth into the east. Onshore winds may drive showers into the eastern fringe of QLD. A front may bring gusty showers to southern VIC and TAS.
