Final Flood Warning For The Moonie River

NO FURTHER FLOODING IS EXPECTED IN THE MOONIE RIVER
Rainfall totals of up to 10mm are expected over the weekend, but this will not cause renewed river rises.

Moonie River downstream of Flinton:
The flood peak is downstream of the Nindigully area, with river level rises expected along the lower Moonie River to the NSW border into next week.
The river level at Nindigully peaked above the minor flood level during Thursday, and is now at the minor flood level (2.20 metres), and continuing to fall.

River levels in the Moonie River at Thallon Bridge were below the minor flood level and rising on Thursday.
River level rises will continue during Friday, but the Moonie River at Thallon Bridge is not expected to exceed the minor flood level (4.0 metres).
