Minor Flood Warning For The Thomson River And Cooper Creek

MINOR FLOODING CONTINUES TO RISE AT WINDORAH DURING FRIDAY
River levels above the minor flood level are continuing along the Thomson River and Cooper Creek.
No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.

Thomson River:
Minor flooding is continuing along the Thomson River downstream of Longreach.
There are no river level observations currently available at Stonehenge manual station, but based on the nearby automatic station the river level is expected to be above the minor flood level (2.00 m) and steady.
The river level along the Thomson River at Stonehenge is expected to start easing very slowly, but will remain above the minor flood level (2.00 m) during the weekend.

The Thomson River at Jundah is currently at 2.81 metres and rising slowly.
The Thomson River at Jundah is likely to remain above the minor flood level (2.50 m) during the weekend.

Cooper Creek:
Minor flooding is occurring along the Cooper Creek.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel) is currently at 3.35 m and falling slowly.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah (Main Channel) is expected to remain above the minor flood level (3.00 m) during the weekend.
