Minor Flood Warning For The Macintyre And Lower Weir Rivers
Issued at 01:19 PM EST on Monday 17 February 2020
Flood Watch Number: 11

Minor flooding is close to a peak on the lower Weir River at Talwood during Monday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms were recorded in the upper Macintyre River catchment (in NSW) during Sunday evening where rainfall totals of between 10-50mm with localised totals as high as 72mm were recorded.
No further significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.

Macintyre River downstream of Holdfast:
River level rises have been recorded on the upper Macintyre River (NSW) following showers and thunderstorms recorded overnight. Renewed river level rises are expected along the Macintyre River downstream to Goondiwindi into overnight Monday and into Tuesday.
The Macintyre River at Boggabilla is currently at 3.13 metres (below minor) and falling.
Renewed river level rises are expected at Boggabilla overnight Monday and may exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) during Tuesday.

The Macintyre River at Goondiwindi is currently at 3.72 metres (below minor) and falling.
Renewed river level rises are expected at Goondiwindi early Tuesday and may exceed the minor flood level (5.00 m) later on Tuesday morning.

Weir River downstream of Giddi Giddi South:
Minor to moderate flooding continues along the Weir River downstream of Surrey.
The Weir River at Talwood is currently at 3.25 metres and rising.
River levels at Talwood are expected to peak around 3.30 metres during Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning.
