Minor Flood Warning For The Thomson River And Cooper Creek

Minor flooding is likely on the lower Thomson River as flood waters move downstream from the upper Thomson River. Minor flooding is possible on the Cooper Creek over the next few days.
No significant rainfall has been recorded in the catchment over the last few days.
No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days.

Thomson River:
A minor flood peak is currently between Longreach and Bogewong on the Thomson River.
There are no observations for the Stonehenge Manual Gauge. The Stonehenge Automatic Gauge is reading 2.19 metres (below minor) and steady.
Renewed rises and minor flooding (2.00 metres) are likely on the Thomson River at Stonehenge over the next few days.

The Thomson River at Jundah was at 2.25 metres and steady on Friday 14 February at 8:30AM. There are no current manual observations available.
Renewed rises and minor flooding (2.50 metres) are likely on the Thomson River at Jundah later this week.

Cooper Creek:
Minor flooding is possible along the Cooper Creek.
The Cooper Creek at Windorah (Long Crossing) is currently at 2.62 metres (below minor) and steady.
Renewed rises and minor flooding are possible on the Cooper Creek at Windorah (Long Crossing) over the next few days. Further renewed rises are also possible over the weekend and into next week as flood waters move down from the Thomson River. More detailed predictions will be made as upstream flood peaks are observed.
