Flood Warning For The Diamantina River
Issued at 10:30 AM EST on Monday 17 February 2020
Flood Watch Number: 11

River levels are expected to remain above the level of the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway for the next few days.
No significant rainfall was recorded during the past 48 hours. No significant rainfall is expected over the next few days.

Diamantina River to Diamantina Lakes:
River levels at Diamantina Lakes are continuing to fall slowly and at 9am Monday were about 0.6 metres above the Springvale Diamantina Lakes Road Causeway. River levels will remain above the minor flood level for at least the next few days.
Diamantina River downstream of Diamantina Lakes:
River levels downstream at Monkira continue to rise and at 7am Sunday they were 0.12 metres above the level of the causeway. It is expected that the river level will continue rising very slowly for at least the next few days.
